Before everything gets busy, here's an overdue outfit post taken over a month ago. I couldn't quite believe how things have changed since I shot this look. For one, I'm now on my last week at my current job and next week, it's gonna be a start of a totally different adventure. The transition happened so fast that I think the reality of it hasn't sunk in for me yet. But you know what they say, opportunity knocks only once so grab it while it's still there. So yeah, I'm saying yes to this new challenge! #challengeaccepted
I've always wanted to wear an all white outfit though I'm afraid it would make me look fat. But I realized, clothes don't make you look fat...your fat makes you look fat. LOL kidding! hahaha Heard that joke from a local radio station and it made me laugh so hard. Haha! Anyway, here are some more photos from the shoot that I did last month. These are all outfit shots, so yeah, it's #ootd time!
Hey, guys! I hope everyone's doing fine, given the weather we are currently experiencing right now. Summer is officially over and rainy days are definitely here once again. And that could only mean one thing--it's time to change our wardrobes! Waaa Easier said than done, right? I mean, are you ready to keep those crop tops and cut off shorts away for now? Well, I'm not and I don't think I will ever come to that point. I love wearing shorts (so much that I might have a separate closet for it one day lols) and this combo (crop top + cut offs) kinda grew on me already. So, what am I gonna do? Gotta bring out those cardigans, jackets, kimonos, whatever kind of cover ups I have to make sure I don't catch a cold or something. Haha! I own around a dozen of those stuff too so might as well use them all, right? ;)
Styling outfits is always a fun thing to do, especially if you have a wide variety of chic clothes, shoes and accessories to choose from. I was rummaging through my closet last night, planning what to wear for my trip next week and kinda got inspired to do a Polyvore version of it. Okay, so it's not really the same coz my outfits are far less gorgeous than what they have here in Polyvore. Ah, what I would give to have all these stuff in real life. It would make my room the happiest place on earth. Lol
I named this set "Travel In Style" coz these are some of the looks that I would most probably wear during trips. I like wearing comfortable clothes whenever I travel and for someone who loves laid-back dressing more than anything else, you can always expect to see me walking around in casual clothes. Sometimes, it can get a little boring so I try to experiment a little. I'm gonna go through the looks one by one so please bear with me, okay? :3
First outfit is my usual tank top + shorts combo. You should know by now how much I love wearing shorts (I might change my blog's name to Scrubs and Shorts one of these days lol) so it shouldn't come as a surprise anymore. I own like, maybe, 12 - 15 pairs of shorts and more, greatly outnumbering the total number of pants and skirts that I have. But, did you know (of course you don't. haha) that I used to hate wearing sneakers? There was a time in college where everyone started wearing these shoes called Chucks and I was like, "what are Chucks?". Haha I had to google it to find out what they are. Then came internship, I was forced to buy a pair of sneakers coz apparently, sneakers are the only type of shoes that go well with scrub suits. Back then, I thought it was a waste of money to buy something that I wouldn't really wear on a normal day but right now, I couldn't be any happier that I did. I realized how comfortable it was to walk in these shoes. Anyway, going back, I chose this pair of coral Vans sneakers coz it matches perfectly with this tank top from Bershka. Thought of going a little sporty and found this really cool bomber jacket from Scotch & Soda. It's a bit pricey but damn, it's so pretty!!! ♥ And lastly, I had to add this palms canvas tote bag from WildFox coz, well, palms. End of conversation. Haha!
Outfit #2 is something I haven't tried wearing before maybe because, just like what I said, I don't have enough pairs of jeans, and most of my clothes are either black, gray or brown. I had fun styling this look coz blue and white is such a nice combination, and so refreshing to look at. Hmmm... I must remember to invest in light colored clothes next time. Anyway, moving on, this cropped top from Rebecca Taylor is so chic but omg, it's so expensive! It costs PHP15,000! Surely I can find one similar to this at Zara or Mango, right? T.T And that iPhone case from Nasty Gal is a must have! Remember, you should also make your gadgets look presentable coz they are also part of your outfit. Haha Just a piece of advice coming from someone who houses her iPhone in a dirty white jelly case! LOL Kidding aside, this is one thing we should all take note of.
For the third and last, but not the least, look, I built the whole ensemble around this pair of palms shorts from H&M. I couldn't even begin to explain how much I love palm prints but just to give you an idea, I think my eyes always light up like Christmas every time I come across a piece of clothing with palm prints. Haha Paired with this satin and chiffon camisole from the Topshop x Kate Moss collection, and adding a fringe bag and a camo military jacket, this number almost has all of my favorite pieces combined. I'm so in love with it! ♥♥♥ Can't wait for H&M's opening here in Manila! Expect to see me there when it opens!
So, what do you think of my picks? Do you think you'd be wearing at least one of these looks on your trips, too? I wanna know your reactions! Please feel free to comment. :) If you wanna know more about the details and brands of the clothes here, or maybe just to get a closer look, you can check out my Polyvore account HERE. Don't forget to follow meee! :) Thanks, guys! I will be on a short hiatus (well, I'm always on a hiatus. lol) and might not be able to blog for a week. So, until then. Ciao! ;)
Today was a free day and I had the chance to spend it whole day at home. So after doing my work out, I checked my email and came across this message that involves creating a summer look for a certain brand. It was stated in the instructions that it has to be something "Polyvore-like". I'm kinda familiar with Polyvore, but haven't really tried using it before. Curious, I checked the site and tried creating a collage. I had so much fun that I forgot to make one for the brand and ended up doing an inspiration board for my summer wardrobe. Haha Thought I should share it with you coz I almost spent my entire afternoon doing this. Lol Mixing and matching clothes, shoes and accessories is one of the best things that I love about fashion. It's so fun! So, here it is. My first ever Polyvore set!
Blogging about my last adventure day in Bangkok because it's... Flashback Friday! *throws confetti* Haha! :)) Well, well, well. Where do I start?
Elephants, of course! It's not Thailand if there's no elephant! Haha So, just for the sake of remembrance, we decided to stop over at the Elephant Village before going to the Floating Market. I thought maybe I should take this chance to check whether I still know what an elephant looks like. Haha! Haven't seen one since I was 5 I think!
I'm not a fan of Taylor Swift, but I do love and have memorized some of her songs (I remember James making fun of me when I sang Sparks Fly with all my heart.lol). So when I came across this photo of her in an almost the same outfit as mine, I know I just have to post it. Haha Look at our identical skirts and shoes! :))
Sunday is definitely the busiest day of the week for me coz it's the only time I have to process orders and finish all those pending tasks for my online shop, Just Chic. So for this particular Sunday, I decided to wear something comfortable and laid back to make sure nothing will hinder me in doing my errands. Say hello to my most favorite shirt ever!
Finally, an outfit post! Will just make this short and quick coz I still have to prepare for tomorrow's Red Ribbon event. Haven't thought of my outfit yet so medyo panic mode na! Haha
Those of you who have been following me on IG might have seen this look already. Ang tagal na nito, diba? Haha! I wore this on the last day of the Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2013 when I watched 3 designer shows. Will blog about it once the photos are ready. Sooo...after 10 years pa! Lol. Kidding!
