Right after Bloggers United 5, someone from The School of Satchel handed me an envelope asking if I'm a blogger and if I can share this good news (which I am about to tell you) on my blog. I read the letter inside and found out that The School of Satchel isn't just another shop selling pretty satchels; they're doing it for a cause.




SOS PLEDGES, The School of Satchel's community service program, together with Cartwheel Foundation, Inc., sponsored the 20-year old Nylyn Supnet to Pamulaan Center for Indigenous Peoples' Education in Mintal, Davao City. This school is dedicated to educate the indigenous people in the Philippines. And now on its third year, SOS PLEDGES is funded by the proceeds of The School of Satchel's sales. It's great to know that while you can look good and fashionable with these bags and satchels from SOS, you can also help other people reach their dreams in life by sending them to school. 

The School of Satchel is known for its hand-crafted leather satchels made from genuine cow hide. It also makes me proud that SOS supports Philippine leather industries by using Filipino leather and local manufacturing.
